Please check TCU’s Commencement website and coronavirus updates website for the latest information.

At graduation, students receiving the master’s or doctorate degree wear an academic hood with their cap and gown. In addition to joining the TCU community in celebrating your achievement in the graduation ceremony, the College of Education has a special ceremony for you, your family, and friends called Academic Hooding. At this ceremony you will receive your academic hood by the director of your program. These ceremonies are held at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer graduates participate in the ceremony set for December each year.

Graduation Deadlines
University deadlines are available on the Registrar’s web page. Graduation announcements are e-mailed to you on your TCU account.

You must complete an Intent to Graduate form at the beginning of the semester in which you intend to graduate. All transfer of credits must have been accepted in your first 12 hours of enrollment. Without the appropriate documents completed by the deadline, you may not graduate.
