Impact Initiatives
Learning by Scientific Design
TCU recently finished a three-year collaboration with Deans for Impact called Learning by Scientific Design, a national network aimed at transforming the way institutions prepare future teachers.
TCU Teacher Residency
The TCU Teacher Residency puts student learning at the center of the preparation experience, extending traditional clinical teaching from one semester to a full academic year.
Holmes Scholars
Holmes Scholars at TCU are part of a network of students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds and are pursuing doctoral degrees. Members are selected based on their academic achievements and their commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the field of education.
Maestro
This program, in partnership with FWISD and TCC, aims to recruit and prepare more Latino male teachers to serve as role models — bringing more “windows and mirrors” to classrooms throughout Texas schools in grades K-12.
College Advising Corps
Make an immediate impact in the community by helping underrepresented high school students find their path to college and beyond.
Go Teach
Go Teach, a collaboration between TCU Athletics and the College of Education, provides a pathway for student athletes to enter into the teaching profession. This program provides the tools for qualified candidates to make an impact in classrooms across the country.
