100 Stories Campaign

Main Content

Join the College of Education at TCU in celebrating our 100th anniversary by sharing your story of impact with us. Stories can be submitted writing with a photo, or via video.

Don't know where to start? Consider a prompt below:

  • Memorable Moments: Share a memorable moment from your time at the college. What made it special?

  • Impactful Experiences: Describe an experience at the college that had a significant impact on your personal or professional life.

  • Favorite Traditions: What is your favorite college tradition, and why? How does it embody the spirit of the college?

  • Inspirational People: Tell us about a person at the college who inspired you. How did they influence your journey? Lessons Learned: What is the most valuable lesson you learned during your time at the college?

  • Changes Witnessed: For alumni, what are the most significant changes you've witnessed at the college since your time there?

  • Advice to Future Generations: What advice would you give to current and future students of the college?

  • Vision for the Future: How do you envision the future of the college and education? What hopes or dreams do you have for its next century?

  • Centennial Reflections: Reflect on what the centennial celebration means to you. Why is it important to honor the college's history and achievements?

We want to see you! Photo and video submissions are desired, and don't have to be a polished production. We're seeking genuine, authentic stories--selfies included! Think Instagram story.

Consider these video tips to enhance your video submission:

  • Go Horizontal: Film content from your mobile device in landscape mode.

  • Good Lighting: Ensure your face is well-lit, preferably with natural light facing you. Avoid backlit setups that can leave you in shadow.

  • Clear Audio: Use a quiet room and speak clearly. Consider using an external microphone if the built-in mic doesn't provide clear audio.

  • Stable Footage: Use a tripod or steady surface to hold your device. Avoid handheld shots that can be shaky.

  • Simple Background: Choose a simple, uncluttered background that won't distract from your message.

  • Eye Contact: Look directly at the camera to create a sense of engagement with your audience.

  • Concise Content: Keep your story or message focused and concise. Aim for 1 minute or less.

  • Practice: Do a quick rehearsal before recording. Knowing what you want to say helps in delivering a clear, coherent message.
